--According to the US Copyright Office "Transfer of a right on a nonexclusive basis does not require a written agreement.... If the photographer is no longer living, the rights in the photograph are determined by the photographer’s will or passed as personal property by the applicable laws of intestate succession." As I read this I am inclined to believe that photos taken by a person now deceased who gave their photos to a person, that receiver may submit the photos, but please in the comments/captions but the original photographer of the photo so I may place a copyright notice in necessary.---
